At Finton Doyle we hold regular events to help benefit our clients and anyone who may need our advice.

Making Tax Digital Is Coming!

Thursday 19th April 2018 at Finton Doyle offices 107-109 Towngate, Leyland, PR25 2LQ

Making Tax Digital is the biggest change to the UK tax system since Self Assessment was brought in over 20 years ago.

From April next year all VAT registered businesses must submit all VAT returns using digitally compatible software.

This is not just filing returns via the internet. This is submitting returns and all the supporting documentation in a digital format. HMRC will have full visibility of all your VAT transactions.

There will be few exemptions, and as it’s HMRC there will be penalties from non compliance.

Finton Doyle are joining forces with IT specialists Swan Solutions to assess the impact of these changes on you and your business. In this seminar we will cover:

  • WHAT MTD is
  • WHY it is coming in
  • HOW you will be affected
  • WHEN these changes will take place

The Good News

Fortunately it’s not all doom and gloom! MTD is an opportunity for you to spruce up your accounts systems and give yourself

  • Up to date information
  • Clarity on your business performance
  • Better control of your business finances

And although we can’t be complacent, there’s still time to get things in order if we act now.

Testimonials for our seminars

‘There’s more to property than bricks and mortar’

“Having been involved in construction and property for 60 years, it was the simplicity of “There’s more to Property…….” that caught my attention.
I approached the event with an open mind and actually learnt something new.
The essence of your presentation was the use of plain simple language of a complex subject which is often jargon bound, delivered by competent speakers who spoke to the audience and not at them.
For me, my time was gainfully employed in listening intently to what they had to say.”

‘Love Your Numbers & They Will Love You Back –

“As a creative, my mind doesn’t naturally work well with numbers but working within a small business it is something I have had to overcome. I chose Finton Doyle to handle my accounts a few years ago now and have been impressed with their professionalism. Mathew and his team have been a great support, when I have had a query they are always there to give advise and guidance.  I would highly recommend Mathew, Kerry and the rest of the team at Finton Doyle”.

Lisa Wilkinson : Geminus Design Ltd
“This was the second seminar I had attend that was organised by Finton Doyle and I found it very useful, very informative and friendly. There’s always a wealth of knowledge at these events, and the opportunity to network with other people is a bonus. Who’d have guessed I’d be talking to someone who can offer a band to support charity events, a graphic designer and even a former weapons engineer turned lighting specialist. Fascinating. Looking forward to working with you more”.
