22nd November  Getting the most value from your property

We are joined by Grant Erskin – the Manchester architect renowned for his work on getting the most value from a property. He has become known as the HMO expert

At this meeting Grant  will be sharing his recent work on a number of investment properties including  changing a church into playboy pad,  a warehouse into 5 loft apartments and a 1960s bungalow into 2 high end cottages.

24th January  Get up and Go

Susan Alexander the founder of The Property Mentor will be sharing how she built her multi million pound property portfolio whilst working full time and also explaining how she keeps her motivation and optimism up. If you made new years resolutions and are already faltering then this is the meeting for you.

28th February Costing Development Projects

Julian Maurice from Icon Living is joining us to offer advice on how to plan and cost your next project, and more importantly how to make sure you stay on time and on budget.

Julian is an experienced property developer who also runs training courses on interior design so we might invite him back later in the year to discuss interior design ideas to ensure we attract and retain tenants.

28th March

We have the planning consultant Linda Wright joining us to share her knowledge about what can and cannot be allowed in developing property.

Linda works with developers advising on their approach to the Local Authority Planning Departments along with sharing her experience of working with Listed Buildings.

25th April  – Property Journey example – Armchair Investing

At our April meeting we will be joined by Michael Hopewell from Minerva Homes & Investments Ltd who will be sharing one of his property investment strategies, Armchair Investing.

Many people want to invest in property, but don’t know where to begin. We discuss what is armchair investing, the challenges to getting started, the risks/rewards and our process for investing. If you are new to investing, time poor or already into property and want to free up more time then this will be for you. We will explain by chance, how we managed to buy a house with virtually no money following our process.

23rd May Property Disasters

Tom Dylan will be sharing his property investing disasters, including tales of how he developed a “different” property investing Strategy of  ABV – buying Above Market Value and how the presence of Lily the Pig helped his decision making on one particular property.

27th June Surveys and valuing

Linda McPartland and Roger Gifford are experienced property valuers who will be explaining how they approach a valuation and the work they do before during and after the visit to your property to provide the final all important valuation.

25th July  Property Journey

One of our meeting regulars Paul Holland will be sharing his property journey. From his first flip project and realisation that he enjoyed the work more than his “day job” to joining the group coaching programme which gave him the confidence to leave his paid employment and take on a number of property projects.
